Junior Badminton Club Calling all members and anyone who would like to join us! If you are a boy or a girl aged between 10 and 15 yrs then this is a must for your Saturday mornings! We meet every Saturday morning at 10am till 12pm in the Memorial Halls from September till March. LOOK at what we offer ...
Don't worry if you have never played before! We have badminton coaches waiting to help you. Every Saturday morning there are games and sometimes coaching sessions or competitions. One highlight of the year is the Crazy Tournament which is exactly what the name implies – good fun and completely silly! A visit to a sports centre may be arranged for a morning and in November there is an opportunity to attend the Scottish International Championships in the Kelvin Hall. Two important competitions in which every member takes part are the Trish Murray Tournament and the Club singles. Then at the end of every season the members take part in the Thornlee Tournament which is played in local church halls over March and April. JUNIOR DIARY (updated regularly) Hi all! We are visiting the Cockburn Centre for a match on 4th February in the afternoon and on 25th Feb. there is the Trish Murray Trophy which is a ballotted mixed doubles tournament. IT'S ALL HAPPENING AT ORCHARDHILL! Anne, Judy and Barbara. No matter what standard you are it's exciting.
