The Choir

Choir & Musical Association

The Choir meet every Wednesday at 7.30pm - our session runs from mid-September to the end of May.

A warm welcome awaits any new members and we have vacancies in all sections - a desire to Praise God in song and add to the musical life of Orchardhill is all that is required -
If you can read music it is always a benefit, but not a necessity.

We sing anthems and introits at various points of the year along with working towards special services at Easter and Christmas.
We also lead an orchestral Songs of Praise services when we are joined by an eighteen piece orchestra - this is one of the highlights in our calendar.
In Spring, we present an evening of music where a retiring offering is collected for the work of Orchardhill Church.

Our range of music covers all genres; in recent concerts we have sung from Karl Jenkins 'The Armed Man' - Benedictus, Rodgers and Hammerstein's
'You'll never walk alone' and Stephen Adams 'The Holy City'.
We are fortune to have friends of the Choir that join us for special services and can boost our numbers.

Since 2004, we have been led by our Choir Master and Organist David Fisher -  David would be delighted to hear from you if you are interested in joining

We are currently working towards our Christmas Service on Sunday 10th Decemberwhen we shall be singing the Cantata 'Invitation to a miracle' by Joseph M Martin.
Come and join us.
