CALLING ALL FILM BUFFS……….

On the last Friday of each month, as a new venture, we are organising a trip to the movies. Give your name to Shona Cook by the Sunday preceding the last Friday of each month. We will meet in the Church car park at 7.45p.m.and go to the cinema together to see whatever looks good at the time. We could combine this with something to eat if desired. This venture will start on the last Friday in November.

We hope to see a good number of friends at these shows and at the cinema.

Why don’t you resolve to get off the couch and venture out with friends for a great night out? You won’t regret it!

Last January, The Luvvies Club was launched to enable members of Orchardhill to meet up with friends already made and hopefully to make new friends while enjoying a night at the theatre or cinema.

Small groups attended a variety of performances from Noel Coward’s “Private Lives” to the Abba inspired musical, “Mamma Mia” and everyone enjoyed them selves greatly. It is not hard to see why:-

                   some wonderful shows were attended

                   money was saved due to block bookings

                   fun was had with friends old and new.

I have put at the end of each option a deadline for expressions of interest as shows have to be booked well in advance to secure tickets usually. Outings will be dependent on the amount of interest shown and the availability of tickets, obviously.
