Prayer Points for November

Daily Prayer

Enable our church to do your will

Make it vulnerable that it may speak with calm humility;

Make it outward looking that it may care deeply

Make it a community of peacemakers and bridge builders

In the midst of turbulence let the church make space for the hearing of your still small voice.

Give thanks for:

Ø  the people we meet and the opportunities to be God’s witnesses in our world

Ø  those who challenge how we think

Ø  those who accept us as we are

Ø  those who forgive us

Ø  those who lead and those who listen

Ø  those who clean and scrub

Ø  those who type and copy

Ø  those who handle figures and finance

Ø  those who provide care and support

Ø  those who cut grass and repair fabric

Ø  those who welcome visitors

Ø  those who are quietly available when they are needed

Ø  those who worship and pray

Ø  those who sing and make music

Ø  those who use their gifts to arrange flowers

Ø  those who give their time freely to lead organisations and groups

Please pray for:

Ø  the re-opening of the Orchard and pray that it will be used to build relationships and further fellowship

Ø  the South Africa mission team as they work to raise funds

Ø  Global Poverty Week 12-18 November: There are than 12 million children under 18 orphaned by AIDS living in sub-Saharan Africa. Not only do they lose their parents, they may lose their homes, their education and even their childhood. Many of them have to resort to street-working and begging.

Ø  in Zimbabwe, those who speak out against the regime are in fear for their lives. In poor countries unjust trade rules result in wages below the poverty line. Pray that Christians worldwide will work to bring an end to poverty and injustice.

Ø  those burdened by regrets and anxieties, those broken in spirit or in body, those torn by relationships and doubt, those who feel deeply the divisions and injustices of our world.

Ø  those who are lonely; that they may know the love and friendship of others
