Open Saturdays 10am to 2pm and on Sundays after Church
Welcome to The Black Door Shop!
We are operated by the 86th Glasgow Boys’ Brigade, a registered charity in Scotland no SC032298 specialising in the supply of pre loved children’s toys, games, clothes, books, prams, and nursery equipment.
Location
Our shop located at the rear of the Memorial Halls in Church Road, Giffnock G46 6JR provides a one stop shop and is brimming with a large range of high quality children's recycled items at affordable prices.
Donating Items
Our stock is provided by a very generous public. Items can be handed in to the Memorial Halls on Friday nights from 1830 to 2130 when the Boys’ Brigade is on, to the shop on a Saturday between 1000 and 1400 and on a Sunday at the shop after the church service.
Sale of Items
The Black Door Shop operates to provide the local community with an affordable high quality range of second hand children’s toys, clothes and other items which otherwise may have ended up prematurely at a landfill site.
Staffing
The Black Door Shop is staffed by volunteers who are keen to help the local community.
Overheads and Funds
With low overheads money raised will be made available to children groups operating locally. This will be accomplished by inviting local children’s groups to send in a 200 word bid which will be examined by the members of the Boys ‘Brigade who will then decide which community group will benefit.
Other Items for Sale
Also available at The Black Door Shop are the BB Tuck Shop and a constant supply of Bio Degradeable food bags and vented caddies all at great prices.
