The Orchard Community Cafe

 

The Orchard is great place to meet friends and enjoy the home baked scones and cakes with a cup of freshly brewed tea, coffee or hot chocolate.

Enjoy the friendly atmosphere as you listen to the relaxing music while browsing through the newspapers or chatting to friends.

Accompanied children are welcome and a play table and high chairs are provided.

We welcome everyone in the local community and beyond. Serving tea, coffee and delicious home baking, with homemade soup and fresh bread on Tuesdays, in a friendly and cosy atmosphere, we cater for everyone from babies to great grandparents.

All the tea, coffee and sugar we use is Fairtrade.

Café News

We are delighted to welcome the grans, grandpas, mums, dads and children from Imagifun to the café on a Tuesday. The Fellowship Room makes a great play area with lots of toys and a special table for the toddlers. CBBS programmes are on the TV screen all morning and we provide child friendly crockery for soup time.

On Thursdays we have the Tai Chi crowd after their exercise class and on both days we are happy to see regular visitors some of whom come over from ladies badminton in the Memorial Halls and others from Bible Study groups in the church.

Don’t you think it’s time you visited us and enjoyed a cuppa with delicious baking or homemade soup with crusty bread on a Tuesday? We’d love to see you!

Our commitment to a five year old Ethiopian boy through the charity, Compassion continues.  We have had a letter telling us a little about him and we will be writing to him giving him back some information about us. We are thinking of taking a photo of all his 'aunties and uncles' at the cafe and enclosing it with the letter but maybe that would be too traumatic for him!!!!

With Christmas and the New Year behind us what better way to keep your spirits up than to visit the cafe?
